Facebook’s most popular Poll application have recently crossed a 10 million mark of registered users. At the moment it is used by over 1.5 million monthly active users (MAUs) and have been used on almost 150,000 Facebook Pages so far. Even the world’s most leading brands in entertainment, sports, technology or food industries, like Guitar Hero, Grey’s Anatomy, FC Barcelona, Dunkin’ Donuts, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes, etc. have been using poll to ask their fans for their opinions. It has evolved into a simple marketing research tool and a great source for customer’s feedback.
Earlier this year, HTC asked their fans on Facebook to vote for the name of their upcoming device and with over 4000 votes (representing 51 % of all votes) HTC Wildfire was chosen as a brand name for the new HTC product.
