We would like to recommend you a great blog post by Jon Loomer which explains various Facebook image dimensions… for cover image, for link post, photo post, for ads, etc. After reviewing all the dimensions you will notice that it's so many different sizes that it's almost impossible to keep up with it. Well, good luck

New Facebook Page Design Rolling Out
Tuesday, March 11th, 2014
Big news for brands and businesses. Facebook will be redesigning Facebook Pages to make it easier for people to find the information they want and help Page admins to find the tools they use most.

Current two column design where both collumns are equally wide will change a little bit. Posts will now only appear in the right (wider) column to provide better consistency. The left (narrow) column will include information about your business, like the map, your hours of business, phone number and website URL, photos and videos. As you may notice, the upper boxes with Likes, Photos, Events, Apps will disappear and will only be in form of a text in the menu.

Alternatives to Facebook Questions and Offers
Monday, July 22nd, 2013
As you might have noticed Facebook is slowly discontinuing Facebook Questions and Offers. Not ads on those products are available anymore. Facebook said that Facebook Questions are not necessary because people can actually express their preference in comments of the post. Well, that's true, but how about the admin reading thousands of comments and evaluating results of such a post? This is where apps come handy…
Facebook's leading polling application Poll, with more than 15 million users worldwide, allows individuals and businesses to get feedback from fans fast and download voting data at any moment as CSV file. Facebook Poll is free for anyone but offers premium options for those who don't like ads or would like to enhance the user experience and engagement with the brand for as little as $19.
Facebook also claims that CTR on Facebook Offeres was lower than on standard link posts which lead to company website with the offer. We agree that driving users to website is important and may help you, especially using tracking conversions (purchases, email subscriptions, etc.) and measure it's efficiency. To do so, you can utilize STAR Social app.
Please let us know in comments below what's your favorite replacement for Questions and Offers.

Facebook Ads: 20% rule
Monday, July 22nd, 2013
Back in February Facebook created a new text policy for ad images in News Feed. It bans images where more than 20% of the area was occupied with text The policy applies for ad units in News Feed, including photo page posts ads, link page post ads, video page post ads, offers, mobie app install ads and page like ads.
A brand logo DOES count toward the 20% text rule, except cases where the logo is part of the product shot – a real photo of product in real situation (e.g. the can of Red Bull on the dashboard), product photos from studio or superimposed on alternate backgrounds. It's important to note, that zoomed photo to promote logo or brand is not a clear product shot and must obey the 20% rule.
News Feed ads are disabled, if they don't meet the rule. Facebook is helping advertisers and businesses to find out how many percent of text and logo does their images cover with Text Overlay tool. It allows to select those parts of the image on 5×5 grid which has some text or logo. More than 5 selected (red) boxes means it's over 20% and the image is not suitable for News Feed ad.

How to Rename a Facebook Page?
Thursday, April 25th, 2013
Renaming a Facebook Page is simple when your Page has less than 200. To learn how, please check Facebook Help. But when it comes to renaming or rebranding a Facebook Page with thousands or even millions of fans, it's not easy. Once in a while you acquire a company, or merge with one and you are in a need to change the name of your existing or newly acquired Facebook Page, or rebrand your own product, or simply correct a typo in your Page title. Contacting Facebook is almost impossible, and even when you find an email or submit a contact form, you may not hear from them. As Facebook Preferred Marketing Developer, we can try helping you with any unusual request regarding your Facebook Page title. Please feel free to contact us now.
